Thanksgiving/Tubing

While the girls were inside Scrapbooking after thanksgiving dinner, the boys were outside Roping.

On Thanksgiving day we went to get our Christmas trees. Riley took over the Chain Saw and this is him cutting it down.
My family also decided to get some Holiday Pictures. I thought they turned out cute!!
We went up Cedar Canyon with our friends Bode and Taryn to go Tubing!! We had a blast!!

Pumkin Carving

Riley and I went over to our friends Taryn and Bode's new house the other day to carve pumpkins. Our other friends Cody and Suzie came as well, but they declined to have their picture taken. Here are the pics from our fun night.

The Past

Right now I'm sitting at my Parent's home, and while I've been here I've realized how much I miss my old Rodeo Days!! My mom and I would load up every weekend to hit at least two Rodeos a weekend when I was in High School. We had a blast, and because of our experiences Rodeoing, my mom and I are best friends. We have so many inside jokes, and so many wonderful memories. My dream was to become a State Champion in the Breakaway. I never accomplished that dream, but I made some of the best friends a girl could ask for, and walked away with life long lessons. I also had/have the best horse in the world. My horse was awesome. I never got outran by calves, and I always had an awesome shot. My horse Ross is still alive, but like me, he is getting old and crippled. I've got a new horse Sage, but it will never be the same. Riley has now started Roping, so hopefully when we are done with school and have more money, we can travel down the Rodeo Road again. Sorry if I've bored everyone with my trip down memory lane, but I wanted to blog about my past life!! Here are some old pics.

Camping

This past weekend, our friends Adam and Lisa invited us to go camping with them, so we thought that would be the perfect way to get away from all our stresses. We ended up camping right by Navajo Lake up Cedar Canyon and it was a blast. We went fishing, hiking, and made yummy tin foil dinners.

Pictures

I'm really behind on my blogging so I'll just let the pictures tell you what we've been up to!!

I have 2 loves in my life - Riley and Kenny - I finally got to see Kenny in concert. Even though is was fun to see him live, the trashy people that go to those things will prevent me from ever going again.

We sure do love riding on big Mable!

My old roommate Katie got married in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a beautiful day and Katie looked gorgeous. Sadly, we were only able to go to the wedding ceremony, but I'm sure the luncheon and reception was just as awesome as the wedding!!

Here is the happy couple - Katie and Jared!!

My brother Zach and Riley have been roping together lately, so they decided to enter the Piute County Fair Rodeo. They did awesome for their first rodeo.

Here they are roping (sorry its not the best picture)

Dirty Boys!! This pic was taken the other day after they got home from scouting deer.

Catch Up!!

I've been pretty bad about blogging lately, but I guess its cuz we've been so busy having fun and working. Quite a few weeks ago, Riley's family hosted the Wanlass family reunion. We had a blast, even though it rained and was cold the whole weekend. The reunion was at fish lake this year, and I enjoyed getting to know Riley's Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. That reunion was on a friday and saturday, and then on sunday, we had the Coates family reunion. That reunion was a blast as well. I got to meet all of Riley's family in one weekend.

A few weekends after the reunions was the 4th of July. This year was a little different, but I still had fun. Riley had to work and everyone in my family (except my sister) was at lake powell. So my sis Callie and I went to the parade and park alone. Fortunately Riley got off work that night so we were able to go to Salina's Rodeo. This year was my first year that I didn't compete in it since I was probably 10 years old. Its definitely alot more fun to compete than watch.

Then last weekend Riley's cousin Lindsey and I decided to play match maker and set her brother and sister up on a date with my brother and sister. Lindsey, her husband Weston, Me, Riley, Riley's brother Jeff, and our brothers and sisters all went on a quadrouple date to the Ute Stampede Rodeo. I was not really looking forward to going because I hate watching Rodeos that I'm not competing in. But I 2 minutes into the Rodeo I was having a blast. The clown was hilarious and had some amazing stunts (he jumped his motorcycle over a truck and horse trailer). A bunch of friends that I used to high school rodeo with were also competing that night so it was also fun to watch them. We all had a blast and I can't wait to go again next year!! Maybe someday they will make my event a pro event and I can compete there - ha ha (wishful thinking)!! I unfortunately forgot my camera, so I only have pics of the reunions and 4th. So here they are......

Girl's Trip

Riley's family has a tradition of having a girls trip every year. All the girls got together to enjoy dinner. And after dinner was served, we all headed to an outdoor theater to watch the play Beauty and the Beast. We had a blast, and I enjoyed getting to know more of Riley's family!! Here are some pics from the trip.

This is the play Beauty and the Beast - the set was really cool!!

4 Wheeling

My mother-in-law Julie invited me to go on a 4 wheeler ride with all of her friends!! I readily accepted because Julie and her friends are some of the funnest people to be around. They are always laughing and having a good time - and who would turn that down. Well this trip didn't disappoint me. We went on a beautiful ride kind of by gooseberry!! After the ride we went to one of the ladies house and enjoyed a delicious meal. Needless to say, I loved this trip and can't wait to go again. Here are some pics from the trip. And there is also a pic from the cattle drive we went on a couple weeks ago.

Well, Its been a long time since I've posted any blogs, but not much has been going on. Riley and I moved to the Elk Ranch (his parents house) for the summer. Riley started working for the Forest Service fighting fires. I will start work on Wednesday at Wingers, and then I'll start work Friday at Zions Bank. We will be busy this summer, but I'm already enjoying it so much. Last week we went on a cattle drive, and as soon as I get the pictures from my mother in law Julie I'll post them. And on Friday, the Twins (my brother and sister) graduated from Richfield High School. I'm so proud of them!! And I can't wait to see what they accomplish after high school!! Here are some pictures of their special day.

Wedding Pictures!!

March 14th, 2009 was the most beautiful day that anyone could have hoped for on their wedding day! The morning started off a little cold, but by the time we got done with the sealing, it turned into a perfect spring day. We started the day off at the Manti temple where we got sealed at 9:00 in the morning. We had to be at the temple by 8, so I was up at 5 getting my hair done (the tiredness didn't hit me until that night). After all the pictures at the temple, we headed to Aurora where Riley's mom (and family) had the most beautiful and delicious luncheon waiting for us. After that, everyone went to help set up the Reception, and they banned Riley and I from helping. We had nothing to do, so we decided to head over to my brothers' baseball game in Richfield. (My brothers had a tournament that weekend so they were pretty busy). After the game, it was time to get some more pictures done. And then it was the reception. The reception started at 7 and was supposed to get over at 9. But due to the enormous amount of people that kept showing up, we didn't get done with the reception until a little after 10. I was amazed at the amount of people who showed up to give their support. Anyways, Our wedding was the most wonderful day ever, and here are some of the pictures from the day!! (We don't have the professional ones yet, so these are pics that I stole from other peoples cameras.) Well, I hope you enjoy!! The pics aren't in order, so sorry!!

Riley's side of the family! Notice my cute new nephews Cynch and Gage.
They took my cousin Bodree's shirt off because it was covered in chocolate. The picture below explains it all!!

Don't worry, the kids didn't start sticking their fingers in the chocolate fountain until after the reception was over!
The cute little kids are my twin cousins Brylee and Bodree!! And my other cousin Jayden!
