11 Months Old...

My baby/pre-toddler is growing up so fast.  I can't believe she is less than a month away from 1!  I swear she changes right before my eyes as she grows.  And I seriously can't believe how fast she learns.  Here are some facts about our little 11 month old Hazyn:

  • She has 4 teeth (two top, two bottom) with I think 1 or 2 more on the way.
  • She says mama, dada, yaya, and da(dog).
  • She loves her doggies and yells "da" anytime she sees them.
  • She plays non-stop.  She loves to stick a toy in her mouth and crawl around.
  • She could win any diaper derby with her speedy crawling skills.
  • She loves being outside.
  • She eats really good (if it is something she likes).
  • She still won't drink milk.  We have to mix it in her food.
  • Her hair continues to grow.  It is longer than 4 inches.
  • People still love to comment on her hair.  Everywhere we go.
  • She is very friendly and will go to almost anyone.  But mom and dad are still her favorite.
  • She still loves her Eddy the Teddy.
  • She hasn't been sleeping that great (probably due to teething) and usually ends up in bed with mom and dad... ugh! (I swore I would never do that, but when you live with other people and you don't want your baby to wake everyone up, you will do anything to keep her quiet).
  • She has all but grown out of her carseat.  She will be getting a new one for her birthday.
  • And last but not least, here are her 11 month pictures. As you can see they are getting more difficult to take.  She was extrememly distracted by her "da"

And she is done....

The Hogle Zoo

Because we were up North for my school's prom we decided to make a weekend out of it and take Hazyn to the zoo.  It was a beautiful day on Friday so we assumed that Saturday would be the same.  The weather had something else in mind, but despite the clouds and cool breeze, it wasn't too bad.  We had a blast looking at the animals and especially loved being together as a family. Our favorite animals were the Polar Bear, the Elephants, and the Giraffs.  Riley unfortunately kept commenting on what great boots the various animals would make.  (He currently owns Hippo, Shark, and Elephant boots).   Here are some pics from our fun day:

The tiger kept roaring.  He seemed really agitated, but it was cool to see him so mad.
All of the fun wore our poor girl out.

We tried to get her to extend her arms because we always joke that she has Ape arms.
We already knew that Riley had Ape Arms. Ha ha
Hazyn wasn't too sure about all the weird noises that this kept making.
She blows me away with how adorable she is!  I must admit that we make cute kids! (Only one for now, but I'm sure the future ones will be cute too)

Prom

My school had their Prom at the Capitol Building this year.  It was an awesome location.  And luckily Riley, Hazyn, and I got to go be "chaperones." The cool part about the night was that apparently and online school having prom is newsworthy.  So we were on the news.  Here is the link in case you missed it - ha ha: http://fox13now.com/2013/04/12/utah-high-school-students-attend-virtual-prom/.

One funny that happened was when Riley was leaving work to go up to Prom with me, one of his coworkers asked where he was going.  He answered "to Prom." And then his coworker asked (seriously), "Your wife is that young?" I guess that could be normal in Salina - ha ha!

Here are some pics from that night:

Hazyn and her Handsome Prom Date!

My friend/coworker Shay.  She is single by the way if you know any cool guys! (Sorry Shay - you are too cute to remain single for long)

Easter

For Easter this year we went to Wah Wah Ranch with the Wanlass family.  We had a wonderful time "camping" (we stayed in a hotel), four wheeling, looking at the wild horses, eating, and looking for our Easter Bags.  However, the best part was just spending time with the whole family (except Rhiannon - we missed you).  Here are some pics from our Easter weekend.

Fun with Cousins!

Hazyn is really lucky to have Amazing Cousins (all boys).  She adores every single one of them.  Here are some pictures of her playing with them!

Taking a Bath with Walker and Sawyer (my cousing Zach's kids).  They came from Kansas for Grandpa Jerry's funeral.
Hazyn wasn't too happy about sharing her bath toys!
Hanging out at the park with cousin Kesler.  They play so well together.
Going down the slide with Kesler.
Eastering with all of the Wanlass cousins.  We are getting two more cousins soon we will be more than happy with boys but would enjoy a girl or two.
Stockton, Gage, Hazyn, Kesler, Cynch, and Draydin!  I'd say they are a good looking bunch!
