Are We Ready Yet?

Are we ready for Hazyn yet? The answer is both yes and no. Physically, I'm completely ready. The nursury is finished, we have her carseat ready to go, and I've purchased everything needed (plus some more stuff). Her closet and dresser are both stocked to the max. This little girl will definitely not go without.

Emotionally, I'm totally not ready. I have absolutely no idea what to expect when I go into labor and that absolutely terrifies me. The unknown is scary... I think Riley is scared too. I think he's more scared of my reaction and complete lack of pain tolerance. But even though I'm scared to death, I know that I can do this. Women have been doing this for years and years - Right? And I'm actually pretty tough when I put my mind to it. Now I just need to get my mind in the right place because our little Hazy girl will be here anytime in the next 5 or 6 weeks.

We are so excited to meet out little girl. I can't believe how fast (and slow) this pregnancy has gone. I haven't blogged much about my pregnancy, so here are a few facts:

~I've felt GREAT the whole time. (There have been a few minor aches and pains, but nothing that I can't handle).

~Even though I'm huge right now, I'm still pretty comfortable. I know that lots of other pregnant women can barely breathe when they are where I'm at, but thankfully that is not the case for me. I hope that it stays this way for the next few weeks.

~I've been sleeping pretty decent. I only have to get up 1 or 2 times in the night and it is only because my body is stiff from staying in the same position.

~Hazyn will not let me sleep on my left side - even though I desperately try every night. She kicks and kicks and won't stop until I roll over.

~I love crunching on ice all day which is weird because I usually can't tolerate cold things. (Sensitive teeth)

~I've lived off Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwhiches, but only out of convenience. I'm too lazy to make anything else these days. Poor Riley has had to become the master chef around here!

~Hazyn is a little mover, but she has her dad's number. She will kick and move until he puts his hand on my belly. She stops the minute he tries to feel her kick. I always feel guilty that I get to experience all her little moves and Riley misses out on that part.

~Hazy gets the hiccups a lot. And it feels very weird. I love feeling her move, but the hiccups sort of drive me crazy. I have no idea why, but I try everything to get her to stop.

~I haven't gained too much (thank goodness). I'm hoping that I can lose the baby weight (and more importantly the pre-baby weight) very quickly. I know I'm probably setting myself up for dissapointment, but summers tend to be very active for me. And I have a colt that needs to be broke - talk about a workout! I can't wait to get back in the saddle!

Now that I've written a novel, enjoy the pictures of the ALMOST completed nursury. We love it and spend a lot of time in there.

Hazyn's Crib and my Rocking Chair ($10 from DI:) (It's really hard to get a decent picture in Hazyn's room). We are going to hang Hazyn's newborn pictures above her crib after she gets here.

I love my cute Jar that Grandma Julie made!! We are trying to decide what to fill it with.

Do you think we have enough bows? The crazy part is that this isn't even half of them... And I want more for my baby girl....

Cute little Cowgirl Shelf. We had a cute lamp up there that my friend Layken made, but Riley said it was too heavy and he didn't want it to fall and hit Hazy. (I think he's going to be pretty protective of his little girl).

The other cute shelf! Grandma Brenda bought the cute sign that says "Little Princess We made a wish and you came true." That saying is totally true - Hazyn is our little Princess that we were wishing very hard for.

Her Very Full Closet! I need to organize it better.

Her dresser that Riley and I refinished. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. The frame has cork board in it now, but we are going to replace it with a mirror. I also couldn't get the wreath high enough, so pretend that it is hanging perfectly over a mirror.

Brittney her room is soooo cute! I love the colors and I'm jealous you got such a good crib and rocking chair from the DI!!! You're lucky you haven't gained much! I'm sure you'll lose it quick this is your first and it seems to fall off on the first one ;) Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy and to be honest, labor isn't as bad as you imagine...IF you're planning on getting an epidural-if not it probably will be. The worst part is actually AFTER, when the drugs wear off and you can't sit or do anything...but I'm not trying to scare ya, just tell ya labor's not too bad :) Good luck!!!!
